STUTTGART DRY GIN

Awarded in London as the world’s best Gin for Gin & Tonic with the IWSC Gin & Tonic Trophy

GINSTR was awarded the gold medal at the World Spirits Award and was awarded the best gin in the world at the IWSC in London in the category “Gin & Tonic”.

GINSTR – Stuttgart Dry Gin is a declaration of love to Stuttgart. Everything here is Stuttgart: only 711 bottles per bottling, the Stuttgart airport code in the brand name and even the barrels have real Stuttgart names instead of numbers. The first GINSTR batch was simply called Killesberg!

The ingredients also come from Stuttgart and the region. Citrus fruits, juniper berries, rosemary – from our own cultivation, from local nurseries or from greenhouses in the region. All botanicals that cannot be grown in Stuttgart come from regional dealers, for the most part from the Stuttgart market hall. Even the previously thoroughly filtered Lake Constance water used for GINSTR is refined with original Cannstatt mineral water.

GINSTR – THE BEST GIN IN THE WORLD FOR GIN & TONIC!

Fresh citrus flavours, dignified juniper, a whiff of rosemary, cardamom and coriander are used for the necessary piquancy. On top of that come liquorice, Kaffir lime leaves, orange and hibiscus blossoms and pomegranate pits for the perfect heart note. Altogether, 46 handpicked botanicals find their way into GINSTR – Stuttgart Dry Gin.

GINSTR is 100% handmade in GINSTR’s own distillery on the parental vineyard of Markus Escher, one of the two GINSTR-founders. The distillery was named after Markus’ grandfather Otto, who handed over the distillery to the young master distillers.

Only slightly later than a year after its release, the International Selection Committee awarded GINSTR with the gold medal at the World-Spirits Award, labelling it as one of the Best Gins in the World.

According to an international jury consisting of 400 jurors, GINSTR – Stuttgart Dry Gin, has in 2018 been rewarded as the best gin in the world for Gin Tonic. More than 600 brands from 90 countries participated in this competition in London.
